I'm back from my business trip & everything went well. Conference was good and everybody was pretts nice and did exactly what I wanted/told them to do.

BI in German 'Celebrity'

In the February issue of German Celebrity we find one article/essay of particular interest. It's about, Lo! and behold!, bearding in Hollywood (headline is "Verlogene Liebe" (= lying/pseudo love).

The first paragraph goes like this (my translation):

Seriously, they're even making contracts. The contract states that X will socially accompany Y for the duration of the contract and will be available for "Showup" four times a month. Physical contacts such as a. hugs, b. holding hands and c. kisses on the cheek in public are desired. X commits to not divulge/talk about details from Y's private life in interviews and so on. Somewhere in the contract there is a sum of money with a lot of zeroes, and its signed by lawyers. The annoying/stupid thing is that one isn't allowed to say here, who X and Y were, but X was a woman who was looking for a man she could exhibit/show off with and Y was gay.

What really tipped me off and sent my thoughts in a certain direction was that exactly after those words the second paragraph began as follows (my translation):

The saying goes that anorectics tend to talk about food so that no-one notices that they're not eating. [...]

So, talking about a bearding contract between a woman who needed a man she could show off with and a gay male. In the past tense (to me that reads like 'contract expired'). Then, immediately after that, mentioning of anorexia. And the author (Jochen Siemens) explicitly states that Y is not Tom Cruise.

He mentions other celeb couples in his essay (Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, J.Lo and Ben Affleck, Claudia Schiffer and David Copperfield, Michael Jackson and Lisa-Marie Presley and other celebs as well as couples from an earlier time, Rock Hudson and Phyllis Gates, Rudolpho Valentino and Jean Acker - though he only states Hudson and Valentino were gay), speculating about publicity stunts etc.

But to me the first paragraph (plus the first line of the second) does sound like someone we know...
